Clinic Visits & Telehealth

A physician who actually has time for you.

Your time is valuable — why spend 10–20 hours in an ER or 4–6 hours in urgent care for something that can be handled promptly by a board-certified physician who actually knows you? Whether you need same-visit care for an acute concern or a dedicated physician for your ongoing health, Denali East Group offers both — without the wait, without the assembly line, and without mandatory membership fees. In-clinic or via telehealth, Dr. Patel provides the kind of attentive, unhurried care that's become rare in modern medicine.

Your Primary Care. Your Physician. Your Terms.

Not everyone wants to be locked into a monthly subscription just to have a primary care doctor. At Denali East Group, you don't have to be. Our concierge-style primary care model is built for patients who value direct access to a board-certified physician — and are comfortable paying per visit in exchange for a level of care that traditional practices simply can't offer.

What that looks like in practice: longer appointments, a physician who knows your history, no crowded waiting rooms, and access within days when something comes up. Dr. Patel serves as your primary physician for the long haul — not just a provider you see once and never again.

We offer this model for both adults and pediatric patients. For families who prefer a physician-led, relationship-based approach to their child's care — one that respects parental involvement and informed decision-making — Dr. Patel welcomes pediatric patients as part of his panel as well.

If you've been frustrated by rushed appointments, revolving-door medicine, or feeling like just another chart number, this model was designed for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • While we do not take insurance, patients can request a superbill from us. The superbill can be submitted to your insurance company so patients can be reimbursed for their care with Denali East Group’s telehealth & clinic visit service. We cannot guarantee that every insurance company will pay a reimbursement so it is important for each patient to contact their insurer to find out.

  • If we are in a position to see you outside our hours of availability, we are happy to do so. If you do not see any available bookings on our schedule, feel free to send a text to (252) 368-0090 and we can take a look. While we strive to do the best we can outside company hours, there may be a chance we are not able to respond to your message or accommodate your request. Please note there is a $50 After-Hours fee that will apply for Telehealth Visits and a $100 After-Hours fee that will apply for Healthcare Consultations.

  • Yes. Denali East Group is a physician-led concierge medicine and aesthetics practice — but with one important distinction from traditional concierge models: we do not require a monthly or annual membership fee. You are never charged simply for being a patient here.

Our model is pay-per-visit. Every clinical service, procedure, and physician interaction is priced individually and transparently — including phone consultations with Dr. Patel regarding a medical matter. If you need to speak with the physician directly by phone, that is a billable service.

That said, routine communication through our patient portal is complimentary. If your question or concern can be handled through a message, there is no charge for that exchange.

For patients who only need a physician a handful of times per year, this model often represents significant savings compared to traditional concierge practices that require membership regardless of how often you're seen — while still giving you the same high-touch, unhurried, physician-direct experience you'd expect from a premium practice.

  • Yes! We do not discriminate and vaccine status is no exception. We are happy to see any patient regardless of vaccine status. You will not be shamed at Denali East Group for choosing a non-traditional vaccine schedule for your child. We understand that parents rights are important and we respect them.

  • Our clinic offers medical vaccine exemption forms signed by a board-certified physician. However, before a form can be issued, a comprehensive evaluation and consultation are required to ensure that the exemption is medically appropriate and well-documented. Patients or parents seeking an exemption must schedule a 60-minute Healthcare Consulting session, during which the doctor will review the individual's medical history, assess any relevant concerns, and determine eligibility. While each case is evaluated individually, in most situations where a legitimate concern exists, an exemption form will be provided at the end of the session.

  • Our clinic provides school and work exemption or accommodation notes, including those related to medical issues or activity limitations. These notes are issued by a board-certified physician following a brief evaluation. To begin the process, patients simply need to schedule a Telehealth Visit. During the visit, the doctor will review the individual's medical history, discuss current concerns, and determine the appropriate documentation. In most cases, when a valid medical reason is identified, the necessary school or work note will be provided at the conclusion of the visit.

  • In the clinic, we perform a broad range of procedures spanning urgent care, hormone optimization, and medical-grade aesthetics. On the urgent care side, this includes laceration repair, incision and drainage of abscesses, wound care, and more. For hormone optimization, we offer in-office procedures such as hormone pellet insertion. Our aesthetics menu includes Botox and botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, microneedling, medical-grade chemical peels, and dermaplaning — all performed by Dr. Patel. There are truly too many to list in full. Feel free to reach out through our patient portal or email us if you have a question about a specific procedure.

  • Yes — and this is one of the things that makes Denali East Group different.

Dr. Patel can absolutely serve as your primary physician under our concierge model. You pay per visit, there is no mandatory membership, and you get direct access to a board-certified physician who knows your history and has time for you. For patients who are generally healthy and see a doctor a handful of times per year, this model works exceptionally well and often costs less than a traditional PCP arrangement.

A few things worth knowing upfront: our practice is designed around personalized, physician-direct care rather than the administrative infrastructure of a traditional primary care office. As such, we have limitations on certain forms and paperwork — things like extensive insurance pre-authorizations, disability documentation, or FMLA paperwork that a conventional PCP office is better equipped to handle. For patients with complex, multi-specialty medical needs who require heavy care coordination, we may recommend maintaining or establishing a relationship with a traditional practice as well.

But for the patient who wants a real physician relationship, prompt access, and unhurried appointments — without the wait and without the assembly line — Dr. Patel is ready to be that physician for you.

  • This would depend on the medication and it’s complexity. For simple benign medications, we can send in refills for not more than a 3 month supply each time and would require a Telehealth visit for each of these refills. There may be a requirement for once-per-year in-person Clinic Visit if this is how you choose to employ our services. Send us an email if you have any questions and we would be happy to work with you.

  • Refills are not provided automatically. Each time a refill is needed, you’ll need to book a new telehealth visit. This ensures we can safely review your current health and make sure the medication is still appropriate for you.

  • That's a good question — and great news. We would love to have you in person at our clinic on Arlington Blvd in Greenville, NC. In-clinic visits are available for both new and established patients, with no requirement to have completed a telehealth visit first. Simply book your in-clinic appointment directly and Dr. Patel will see you at your scheduled time. You can book here.

  • Yes, the visit fee applies even if our evaluation determines that you require emergency care. Our doctor will assess your condition to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care, and if a higher level of treatment is needed, we will guide you on the next steps. However, like many other medical facilities, we do not provide refunds for evaluations performed by our providers.

  • Yes! However this falls more so under our Healthcare Consulting services that can also be booked online. The patient will be responsible for the price of the labs they would like performed (we use Labcorp and their prices are listed on their website). Once results are sent back, the patient can book a one-hour Healthcare Consult with our doctor where the results will be explained in great detail to the patient.
