FAQs
-
While we do not take insurance, patients can request a superbill from us. The superbill can be submitted to your insurance company so patients can be reimbursed for their care with Denali East Group’s telehealth & clinic visit service. We cannot guarantee that every insurance company will pay a reimbursement so it is important for each patient to contact their insurer to find out.

If we are in a position to see you after hours, we are happy to do so. If you do not see any available bookings on our schedule, feel free to send a text to (252) 368-0090 and we can take a look. While we strive to do the best we can after hours, there may be a chance we are not able to respond to your text. Please note there is a $25 After-Hours fee that will apply.

No. We are not officially a concierge clinic. However, if you only need to see a doctor a few times per year for simple issues then you might save many hundreds of dollars using Denali East Group’s medical services instead. Similar to concierge medical clinics, patients can book Same-Day or Next-Day visits gaining near-immediate access to the doctor.
-
Yes! We do not discriminate and vaccine status is no exception. We are happy to see any patient regardless of vaccine status. You will not be shamed at Denali East Group for choosing a non-traditional vaccine schedule for your child. We understand that parents rights are important and we respect them.
-
Our clinic offers medical vaccine exemption forms signed by a board-certified physician. However, before a form can be issued, a comprehensive evaluation and consultation are required to ensure that the exemption is medically appropriate and well-documented. Patients or parents seeking an exemption must schedule a 60-minute Healthcare Consulting session, during which the doctor will review the individual's medical history, assess any relevant concerns, and determine eligibility. While each case is evaluated individually, in most situations where a legitimate concern exists, an exemption form will be provided at the end of the session.
-
Our clinic provides school and work exemption or accommodation notes, including those related to medical issues or activity limitations. These notes are issued by a board-certified physician following a brief evaluation. To begin the process, patients simply need to schedule a Telehealth Visit. During the visit, the doctor will review the individual's medical history, discuss current concerns, and determine the appropriate documentation. In most cases, when a valid medical reason is identified, the necessary school or work note will be provided at the conclusion of the visit.
-
In the clinic, we can perform procedures that address simple urgent care needs. This can range from simple laceration repair to incision and draining of an abscess to simple wound care. There are too many to list! Feel free to email us if you have a question about a specific procedure.
-
Unfortunately we are not a primary care office. However, there are many patients who are very healthy and only need to see a doctor a few times per year for minor issues. We have no problem with patients using our firm in this manner as long as they realize more complex issues will require establishing care with a primary care clinic. Please also note that we do not fill out many of the forms or paperwork that a primary care clinic. can do.
-
This would depend on the medication and it’s complexity. For simple benign medications, we can send in refills for not more than a 3 month supply each time and would require a Telehealth Visit for each of these refills. There may be a requirement for once-per-year in-person Clinic Visit if this is how you choose to employ our services. Send us an email if you have any questions and we would be happy to work with you.
-
That’s wonderful! We would love to have you come be seen at our Arlington Blvd clinic location. There is no requirement to have already been seen by Telehealth previously. Just email us about when you would like to come in for your simple urgent care needs. Alternatively, you can just go ahead and book the one-hour clinic visit here.

Yes, the visit fee applies even if our evaluation determines that you require emergency care. Our doctor will assess your condition to ensure you receive the appropriate level of care, and if a higher level of treatment is needed, we will guide you on the next steps. However, like many other medical facilities, we do not provide refunds for evaluations performed by our providers.
-
Yes! However this falls more so under our Healthcare Consulting services that can also be booked online. The patient will be responsible for the price of the labs they would like performed (we use Labcorp and their prices are listed on their website). Once results are sent back, the patient can book a one-hour Healthcare Consult with our doctor where the results will be explained in great detail to the patient.
